It’s no secret: the series Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi will be an opportunity for fans of the George Lucas saga to discover the return match between Darth Vader and his former master. An extract of this duel has just leaked on the internet.
The fight of the century
Certainly one of the most anticipated series of 2022, series Obi-Wan Kenobi is at the heart of the expectations of fans of Star Warsseduced by its many promises. Indeed, this six-episode mini-series, which will bridge the gap between the prelogy and the original trilogy, should be particularly followed by those nostalgic for the first two trilogies of the famous space-opera saga.
The reasons for this expectation are quite obvious. Not content to mark the return of Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen in their respective roles of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, the series will also mark the first appearance in a live-action series of the Inquisitors, several of whom appeared in the first trailer recently published.
But above all, since its announcement in 2019, the production had focused on a new fight between Obi-Wan and his former apprentice, the first since the one that concluded Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Afterwards, Kathleen Kennedy, the president of Lucasfilm, revealed that the series would contain “two epic fights”, already ranked “at the top of fights” in the franchise.
Whereas the mini-series Obi-Wan Kenobi is expected by the end of May 2022we discover today that an extract of one of the two fights has just leaked on the internet.
As you can see, this is a video of the shoot. We can see Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader fighting saber against saber. The Jedi master seems in trouble with his former apprentice, and is projected by the Sith Lord, through the Force.
If we do not know if this fight is the first or second that will oppose the two former friends in the Disney + series, this filming video nevertheless allows us to imagine that Obi-Wan Kenobi will have some difficulty fighting Darth Vader. Indeed, we recall that ten years have passed since the events of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Not only Obi-Wan has aged, but in addition, because of his condition, he most certainly could not train with the lightsaber during his hiding.
Note, however, that this video is the subject of deep among fans of Star Wars. If the majority of Internet users seem to consider that the video is real, some are more skeptical, and would lean more towards a very well conducted April Fool’s joke. However, the leaked video does not date from April 1, and was posted three days ago on Reddit.
Anyway, although very short, this potential filming video makes us want to discover the series even more Obi-Wan Kenobi.
