One Piece: top 8 characters we want to see more often in the manga

One of the most popular manga in history, One Piece can count on an impressive number of characters. While volume 101 has just been released recently, and the manga has just reached a major turning point in Japan, we are giving you a selection of characters that we would like to see more often.

8# Monkey D. Garp

Luffy’s grandfather, Monkey D. Garp is a true legend. Appearing for the first time in volume 45 of the manga, it is a complex character: loving grandfather, he is nevertheless divided by his obligations towards the Navy. Faithful and possessing a great sense of honor, it is one of the best manga characters, and we would like to see him more often. Especially since it is very funny!

7# Blackbeard

Appeared for the first time during volume 25, Blackbeard quickly became the manga’s main antagonist. In the heart of the Marine Ford arc, during which he stole Whitebeard’s power, he became the Fourth Emperor, after the death of Edward Newgate. A real threat, he is at the head of a terrifying crew, in which appear Jesus Burgess, Van Augur, Laffitte, Catarina Devon, Doc Q, Shiliew (the former Chief Guardian of Impel Down) or even Kuzan (ex- Amira Aokiji). Each of their appearances is an event, and we can’t wait to see this crew that we love to hate.

6# Admiral Kizaru

Borsalino Kizaru is one of three Navy Admirals. Possessing the powers of the Devil Fruit of Light, he is able to project beams and strike his enemies at the speed of light. Charismatic and laid-back, he remains a deeply formidable enemy nonetheless.as shown by his appearances during the Sabaody or Marine Ford arc. We can’t wait to see the Straw Hats’ revenge on Borsalino!

5# Sabo

Heart brother of Luffy and Ace, Sabo is the second to Monkey D. Dragon, the leader of the Revolutionary Army. From the somewhat whiny boy we met in the flashback of volume 60, Sabo has become a brave and charismatic fighter. Especially since he is now in possession of the old powers of Portgas D. Ace. We can’t wait to see him again, especially since the disturbances he caused during the Reverie !

4# Hawkeye

Hawkeye, whose real name is Dracule Mihawk, is a former Corsair Captain. First appeared at the beginning of the manga, where he soundly beat Zoro Roronoa, before training him after the Marine Ford arc. He only made a few appearances, but we all want to see him again, as this character is charismatic and impressive.

3# Shanks Le Roux

In the eyes of many fans, Shanks Le Roux is one of the greatest characters in One Piece. Although he is one of the first characters introduced in the manga, Shanks is still a mystery. We learned in volume 45 that he was part of the Four Emperors of the New World, alongside Whitebeard (since deceased), Big Mom and Kaido. If he is feared and respected by his friends as well as by his enemies, we have never seen him in combat. So we would like to see it in action. Maybe the movie One Piece Redcentered around the character, will be an opportunity to learn more about him!

2# Monkey D. Dragon

Appearing for the first time in volume 12, Monkey D. Dragon is the father of Monkey D. Luffy, and the son of Monkey D. Garp. A very mysterious character, he is the Leader of the Revolutionary Army, whose goal is to overthrow the World Government. Nicknamed “The Most Dangerous Man in the World”, he is the government’s number one enemy. Extremely charismatic, he only made a few brief appearances in the manga. However, we imagine that it should soon appear more and more regularly, to the delight of fans.

1# Gol D.Roger

And yes, the character that we would REALLY want to see more of is obviously Gol D. Roger. Although he died long ago, the former Pirate Lord is on everyone’s mind. We were also able to see it on a daily basis thanks to the diary of Oden Kozuki, which accompanied him in his peregrinations. With his outspoken laugh and phenomenal power, Gol D. Roger is very reminiscent of Monkey D. Luffy. No doubt we should see him again in future flashbacks, as we approach the end of the manga.

BONUS: LABOON

And yes, we don’t forget Laboon, the whale that the crew of the Chapeau de Page encountered before entering the Grand Line. Fans softened by the story of this whale are looking forward to only one thing: his reunion with Brooksthe skeleton-musician of Luffy’s crew, who befriended Laboon fifty years ago.
