Self-confidence is working! Indeed, thanks to these tips and exercises inspired by sophrology and positive psychology… We learn to reboost our mind and strengthen our self-esteem. The sophrologist and coach, Christine Ziangiacomi, gives us the keys to being sure of ourselves on a daily basis. Read the guide!

Self-confidence: choose a phrase that resonates with us

In case of a slump… Displaying a positive mantra at home that inspires us is a good way to give a positive boost to your day and restore your confidence. Indeed it can be the words of a piece of music or even a quote that is exposed in plain view. This in a place of passage, such as the kitchen for example.

Every morning before leaving. By placing this sentence in a strategic place in your home, where you pass daily, you are sure to connect to this positive sentence.

Self-confidence: finding your resource image

Identify and anchor in you an image of a film that you like, a music, a scene… Indeed, the idea is to connect to it instantly when your little inner voice whispers to you, for example, that “you won’t make it not”. Besides, it’s a good way to get out of the negative spiral, in a situation where you doubt yourself.

As soon as we feel that we lack self-confidence, we connect to it. Like to give yourself courage, before an interview or an important meeting, for example.

Take a “posture break”

The way we hold ourselves can betray a lack of confidence. In fact, facing a mirror, we take out our chest, we straighten our shoulders and head, we breathe in consciousness, and we look at ourselves, with all assurance and benevolence.

When ? Whenever you feel the need during the day (even 10 seconds!). Or when you wake up. Also, we are in a more rewarding position, for ourselves and in the eyes of others.

Awaken your senses

Self-confidence: reconnecting to your senses, allows you to reconnect with yourself and strengthen your self-esteem. It’s actually small simple things like enjoying a piece of chocolate, smelling a flower, listening to music that we like. Or even apply a cream to the body, and feel the emotion it brings.

When ? As often as possible. Rather than devouring a cake… Taste it, and take pleasure in applying a scented treatment after your shower.

Make an appointment with yourself

Self-confidence: whether you use a digital or paper diary… The idea is to identify one or two things a day that do you good and put it on your day’s schedule. This by marking it with a color that we love. In fact, it can be buying a magazine, offering a bouquet of flowers, watching a program, taking a bath…

When ? Each day ! To take care of yourself, it is therefore important to allow yourself “selfish” moments. And to have fun in the middle of busy days, where we tend to forget ourselves.
