PlayStation Plus: May 2022 games reportedly leaked, and one of 2021's biggest games is included

The games offered to Playstation Plus subscribers for the month of May 2022 would have leaked before their time. You might shout the incredible “Breaking News”, but the fact is that it is actually a routine that we are perfectly accustomed to. The games available free of charge to subscribers to the service in full metamorphosis of PlayStation leakent indeed always several days in advance. But this month is a bit special, since a very big game is expected.

Three very different games expected for the month of May

This is an offer that is now firmly rooted in the habits of players: most online video game stores and services regularly offer games that are totally free (like the Epic Games Store every week) or only for subscribers to a particular service. This is particularly the case with the Playstation Plus, which offers new games every month to its users. We already know the lucky ones for the month of May 2022, and as much to say that there will be something for everyone!

Still excluded, we reveal the list of PlayStation Plus games for the month of May, including FIFA 22!

From the next 3 but, subscribers to Playstation Plus should therefore be able to add Tribes of Midgard, Curse of the Dead Gods and FIFA 22(just that!), to their game library.

FIFA 22 (PS4 and PS5)

We start with the biggest piece that constitutes FIFA 22. The umpteenth installment of the most popular football game franchise in the world, the software is, as always, published by Electronic Arts and is released on October 1, 2021. If the license is starting to run out of steam in the eyes of many players, FIFA 22 has still met huge commercial success and had already sold more than 1.5 million copies last month.

Like its predecessors, the game allows you to multiply the matches in solo or online with a selection of hundreds of officially licensed teams, all while taking advantage of completely revised goalkeepers, defense and ball physics. FIFA 22 also offers a career mode, but is based above all on its Fifa Ultimate Team (FUT) mode, in which you must build the team of your dreams.

tribes of midgard (ps4 and ps5)

Action-adventure game released in July 2021 on PC and PlayStation consoles, Tribes of Midgard is based on an online cooperative survival concept for up to 10 players. You evolve in a world of vikings where you have to face Ragnarok through a unique mix of genres: action, roguelike (we will come back to this), tower-defense, survival, etc.

Like any self-respecting survival game, Tribes of Midgard requires abundant harvest of resources, but its particularity is based on the day/night cycle. When the sun goes down, you must then defend your village against invaders. A task greatly facilitated if you play in cooperation, but unfortunately partly marred by rather soft fights. The art direction, on the other hand, is worth its weight in peanuts.

Curse of the Dead Gods (ps4)

We end with Curse of the Dead Gods, a roguelike released in March 2020, in which you lose a majority of your progress with each death, while unlocking some permanent upgrades. If this pitch is not very attractive at first glance, it is nevertheless a game system that has already proven itself: Hades or Dead Cells are some of its proudest representatives, and Curse of the Dead Gods do not hesitate to draw inspiration from it.

However, it stands out for some original ideas, like his fairly technical fights, his management of shadow and light which facilitate – or not – these, but also and above all its “curse” system (hence the name of the game): you can benefit from very interesting bonuses of statistics or rewards, but in return you will have to do with a more or less disabling penalty.

So, are you satisfied with this May 2022 vintage, which obviously remains to be confirmed? Do not hesitate to share your opinion in the comments!
