In January and February, we shared with you the first visuals of Rebel Moon, the next film by Zack Snyder, director of 300, man of steel or Justice League (his version at least). Over the weeks, this ambitious project has not ceased to be talked about, Snyder was an avid follower of social networks. Rebelotte in this month of April with new images, shared on the occasion of the first day of filming.

Passionate about Akira Kurosawa and Star Wars, Snyder has been working for several years on the universe of Rebel Moon, a huge project on behalf of Netflix. Science fiction built from A to Z by the American director who thought of it as a franchise more than a single film. The pitch? A focus on a peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that must face the threat of the troops of a tyrant known as Balisarius. A young woman with a mysterious past will be sent in search of resistance fighters on neighboring planets.
On the casting side, Rebel Moon will be composed of Ray Fisher (whom he had already directed in Justice League)Jena Malone (Sucker Punch), Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy), Djimon Hounsou (Guardians of the Galaxy), Doona Bae (Sense8) or Sofia Boutella (Kingsman: Secret Service). This mix between Star Wars, Man of Steel Where The Seven Samurai by Akira Kurosawa was born a decade ago but was only announced last summer, after tough negotiations. And this fan of controlled communication that is Snyder has again turned to Twitter to share new images.

To celebrate the first day of shooting Rebel Moonits director offers us three new images. The first is none other than a focus on actor Djimon Hounsou, wearing detailed armor, whose character was visibly injured, as evidenced by the injury to his forehead. The second is similar to the interior of the decor of the third image, which should represent the door of a spaceship. It’s worth letting your imagination run wild for now, though the director should share new visuals soon.
A highly anticipated project that should be released in the coming years, no release date having been advanced. The screenplay is by Kurt Johnstad (300) and Shay Hatten (John Wick 3)enough to promise beautiful action scenes.
