Marvel: this actor predicts his big return to the MCU

For several years, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has established itself in Hollywood. And it is not ready to stop with the many projects planned. We can also count on Kevin Feige and his creative teams to delight us with the arrival of new heroes like Yelena Belova, the new Black Widow embodied by Florence Pugh, Kate Bishop or recently Moon Knight. Other former members of the MCU are still present such as Thor, Captain America in the guise of Anthony Mackie or Spider-Man. However, for some characters in the franchise, their future is more or less unclear. This is also the case of Vision.

A new version in oblivion?

Indeed, in the Marvel series Wanda Vision for Disney+, we could see that Vision, played by Paul Bettany, crumbled to reveal White Visionanother version of the character created by the SWORD fans are therefore waiting to see him again in the MCU.

After the end of the series, the interpreter of Vision had explained thathe no longer had a contract with Marvel pointing out that the studio had planned to make Wanda Vision a series limited to one and only season.

A return that is not expected immediately

But let the fans be reassured because according to Paul Bettany, his character may well be making a comeback in the MCU. In any case, this is what he has just implied in a recent interview for Entertainment Weekly on the occasion of the promotion of his new series entitled A Very British Scandal. Asked about his possible return to Marvel, the actor explained :

At the end of WandaVision you see Vision fly away and it’s a dead point. And Kevin Feige is a man who doesn’t really allow series endings. So I’m sure at some point I’m going to put on my tights and my cape for another outing. But I dont know when.

Based on the events at the end of the series, it’s highly likely that if Bettany returns to the MCU, he will as White Vision. This would confirm what he said after Wanda Vision and the appearance of White Vision. Even though he has no idea about Marvel’s plans, it wouldn’t make sense to introduce such an important new character and not exploit him. Still, for the time being, no project is officially in preparation for Vision at Marvel. Perhaps the studio prefers to wait for phase 5 of the MCU to ensure its comeback.
