Ken the Boy Who Lived: A Cult 80s Animated Series

Ken the Boy Who Livedalso known as Hokuto no Kenis a manga imagined and drawn by Tetsuo Hara. Its adaptation was broadcast for the first time in 1984 on the Japanese channel Fuji TV then it arrived in France at the end of 1988 on TF1.

As a reminder, the story takes place after a nuclear war in the 90s which caused the disappearance of seas, oceans and vegetation. The population tries to survive as best they can, but many gangs loot and persecute the last survivors. The named martial arts expert Kenshiro, said Ken, is left for dead. As he meets, he will begin to protect the weak and oppose the various gangs using an assassin martial art, the Hokuto Shinken.
