As you now know, Johnny Depp is suing his ex-wife for defamation, to the tune of 50 million dollars, while Amber Heard accuses him of domestic violence (physical and sexual) and is asking for 100 million dollars. A new trial therefore began on April 11 and is due to last until the end of May. Johnny Depp started speaking to set up his defense, and it is now around the actress of Aquaman to testify.
Amber heard testifies in turn
Called to the stand to testify in the trial against Johnny Depp, Amber Heard has described several incidents in which Johnny Depp allegedly abused her. Amber Heard detailed a first event by explaining that the couple was talking about one of Johnny Depp’s many tattoos, and Amber deciphered “wino” (this was a modified version of a tattoo Johnny Depp originally got while dating his ex-girlfriend, Winona Ryder). Amber Heard says she laughed when Johnny Depp explained it to him:
I laughed, because I thought he was joking. And he slapped me. And I laughed. I laughed, because I didn’t know what else to do. I thought it was a joke.
After that, Johnny Depp reportedly slapped Amber Heard again and said to him:Do you think you’re funny, bitch?”. Amber Heard explained that she then received another slap from Johnny Depp, which would have knocked her to the ground. On his side, Johnny Depp categorically denied the incidentstating:
Why would I be so offended by someone making fun of a tattoo on my body? This allegation never made any sense to me.
Amber Heard later commented: “I will never forget it. It changed my life”. The actress then spoke the jealousy of her ex-companion, and his insecurities, which led, according to him, always to violent arguments. March 2013 was “almost like an endless argument”she said claiming Johnny Depp refused to believe she wasn’t cheating on him. During an argument, the actress said her ex-boyfriend punched her and that, as he was wearing “many rings”she had the impression that her “teeth had sunk in” in his lip. She explained that blood stains had even landed on the wall next to her.
Another incident, according to Amber Heard, broke out when Johnny Depp grabbed her arm quite hard to leave a mark. She says about it:
He kind of held me down yelling at me. I don’t know how many times he hit me in the face.
The court then saw a photo of Heard with a bruised armwhich she would have sent to her mother afterwards.

In another emotionally charged moment, Amber Heard detailed an alleged sexual assault incident that occurred in 2013. Here is part of his testimony :
He grabs my chest, he touches my thighs, he rips off my underwear and performs a body search…he digs his fingers inside me. I stood there looking at the light… I didn’t say stop or anything.
Johnny Depp, for his part, refuted all of his accusations. If public opinion is for the moment on the actor’s side, it remains to be seen whether this new testimony from Amber Heard could tip the scales in his favor, among the jurors.
