For some time there have been constant rumors that Hugh Grant could become the 14th Doctor of Doctor Who. And today, we finally got the answer from the principal concerned.
Rumors about the future doctor who
The former showrunner of Doctor WhoRussell T. Davies, returns to lead the series, and according to close sources (came in contact with The Mirror), the latter wanted Hugh Grant to take on the role of fourteenth series doctor. Russell T. Davies indeed thought that the actor could have brought a “touch of freshness”in his own words, to the now decades-old series.
The showrunner would have even publicly praised the actor, explaining:
He offers many attributes – great actor, British, award-winning, and excellent in comedy. Conversations are ongoing.
According to these same sources, Hugh Grant would have been approached by Wolf Studios, who is currently producing the series, to hypothetically play the 14th Doctor. Until recently, Hugh Grant had not deigned to respond to these rumors which were taking on large proportions on the Internet. But recently we finally got an answer of the principal concerned.

Hugh Grantwho eventually got wind of these rumors, felt the need to give an answer to all those who hoped see him join the cast of Doctor Who. But his answer will not please all those who had hopes for him:

After the lies of Andrew Garfield about his presence in No Way Home, difficult however to know if Hugh Grant tells us the whole truth. We are all the same try to believe it more.
