Doctor Strange 2: Daniel Craig was to embody this highly anticipated character

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessalso called Doctor Strange 2 is the last marvel blockbuster currently at movie theater. The film makes its merry way to the top of the box office and marks a real change in thevisual identity of marvel movies of mculeaving a little room for the horror of Sam Raimiwith new characters, including one who should have had a very different head…

Doctor Strange 2 : Daniel Craig in the Illuminati?

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness had the effect ofa small bomb in the MCU, as much for the graphic violence and the maturity of its scenes as for the new characters it presents or its explanation of the multiverseeven if on this subject we can regret having had the impression of facing a withholding of information on the part of Marvel, as if the general plot of phase 4 launched by the miniseries Wanda Vision and Loki didn’t matter about movies, although these series are canon to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Sam Raimi and Kevin Feige let us see the extent of Wanda’s power when she’s angry, and it sends shivers down the spine, as he asserts things about himself, such as his overpowering compared to all the other characters. The film also introduced us to (very) many new characters, including the Illuminati with at their head both a character from the X-Men, Charles Xavier, but also a character from the fantastic 4 with Reed Richards, two groups of heroes who were highly anticipated in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While Patrick Stewart reprized his role as Professor Xavier from previous films, Reed Richards got a whole new look, not reprising Miles Teller from the dreadful 2015 film. Instead, we got a John Charming Krasinski as the elastic man -and smartest man on Earth-836. But this choice of actor is only plan B, since according to some, Daniel Craig should have held this role.

Daniel Craig, lord of the MCU?

We owe this information to journalist and insider Justin Kroll, working for the media Deadline as a film specialist. He explains that Krasinski was not the first choice to play Reed Richards in the film. He doesn’t explicitly say it was him, but he used to illustrate his point a gif of Daniel Craig. Unfortunately, the actor of recent James Bond could not respond favorably, because of the skyrocketing of Covid-19 cases at that time. This information is unfortunately not verifiable as it is, so better take it with a grain of salt. But maybe there is a world in the multiverse where we see Daniel Craig alongside Charles Xavier and Captain Carter.

Fun fact, Krasinski wasn’t the first choice, the actor originally set to play the role was all set to shoot but when there was an uptick in COVID cases, he backed out as he was living in London and didn’t think the quick shoot wasn’t worth risk of bringing back COVID to the fam pic.twitter.com/sD9nT0omki

Fun fact Krasinski wasn’t the first choice, the actor originally slated to play the role was set to shoot but when there was a spike in COVID cases he backed off as he was living in London and thought that traveling was not worth the risk of bringing COVID back to his family.

Krasinski’s appearance in the film is a “test run” for the sequel. If they’re interested in the character, maybe we could see him again. It’s been a long time since fans of the actor The Office and Without a Noise were waiting for him. He was expected to play the character, alongside his wife, Emily Blunt, whom many dream of seeing as Susan Storm, the character’s wife in an upcoming film. But that may not happen, since the screenwriter of the film has showered the hopes of fans to see the Illuminati one day. You can find our article on this subject here.
