DC: this unlikely new form of Batman will delight T-Rex fans

A few weeks ago, we showed you this crazy transformation of Wolverine into Venom because of a dinosaurthe opportunity for fans to see the result of a T Rex harboring the symbiont. And after Marvel, it’s the turn of DC Comics to introduce us to his versions of his reptile superhero humanoid, a news that will surely delight old fans of the animated series Extreme Dinosaurs (1997).

In a new preview of The Jurassic League from DC Comics, fans were able to discover an atypical new iteration of superheroes from the DC universe, with in particular a Batman represented in the form of a humanoid T-Rex. Get ready to dive into a prehistoric world where humans and dinosaurs rub shoulders, but where some of his reptiles are also able to speak, in addition to having superpowers.

This new series of comics The Jurassic League released just after the original members of the Justice League met a doom in the early development of the Dark Crisis arc, announced as the big event of the summer by DC Comics. It looks like dino versions of DC characters will be the only League available to readers in the coming months, as other heroes fill the gap left in the main canon.

In the new comic preview Jurassic League #1, directed by Daniel Warren Johnson and Juan Gedeon and released yesterdaya dinosaur egg can be seen falling from the sky on a rocket before being found by a caveman and his wife, showing the genesis of Supersaur, Superman’s reptile counterpart. We also discover a T-Rex disguised as a bat in the middle of a hunt, seeking to do justice to “Growltham City”, which is reminiscent of a certain Bruce Wayne. It also looks like the “Bat-Rex” will encounter a dino version of his lifelong nemesis, a so-called Jokerzard.. Without further ado, here are the first pages, accompanied by the synopsis:

THE JURASSIC LEAGUE #1 – You know the story: a baby escapes the destruction of his home planet and is brought to Earth to be raised by human parents. A goddess from a lost city defending the truth. A Tyrannosaurus Rex donning the face of a bat to strike terror into the hearts of the wicked. This heroic trinity, along with a league of other super-powered dinosaurs, join forces to save a prehistoric Earth from the sinister machinations of Darkseid. Wait… what? Ok, maybe you don’t know this story. So join us and witness an all-new adventure older than time and experience the Justice League like you’ve never seen it before!

Although this iteration of the superheroes in dino version may seem a little wacky at first glance, early fan reactions seem quite positive. Some fans are happy to see that artists can freely appropriate the DC universe and characters, especially with such atypical ideas and such an assumed parodic tone. And many are those who have been seduced by the very absurdity of these situations, making it possible to rediscover these characters in a new light.

Fans are thus waiting to see which dinosaurs became the other members of the Justice Leaguethe first issue of The Jurassic League having already shown several iconic heroes and villains, there are still many characters that fans would dream of seeing in dino version.
