December 1, 2020, we learned about Elliot Page’s transgender coming out. The actor then received a lot of messages of support from his entire community, but also from series Umbrella Academy and the Netflix platform.
After Elliot Page came outfans of the series The Umbrella Academy many questions arose to find out how the character would evolve in the series. Following a post by Elliot Pagewe now know roughly which path the latter will take.
Regarding the character of Vanya in The Umbrella Academy
It was on Twitter, recently, that Elliot Page introduced his character’s new name, Viktor Hargreevesalong with an exclusive photo from Season 3 of The Umbrella Academy. The post was re-shared a little later by the official account of the series :

As evidenced by the post, Vanya’s character will therefore most certainly follow the same course as Elliot Page in real life, so as to stick to the changes experienced by the actor. It therefore seems obvious that certain episodes (or one of them at least) of the third season to come will focus on the questions and the choices that Vanya (now Viktor) will do about it. As a reminder, season 3 of The Umbrella Academy will be broadcast in June 2022 on the Netflix platform.
