CD PROJEKT RED revealed today that the next installment of the video game series The Witcher is under development on Unreal Engine 5kicking off a new saga for the franchise, and a new technology partnership with Epic Games.
Today’s announcement marks the first official confirmation of a new game in the series. The Witcher. The teaser image for the new game also depicts a medallion, accompanied by the phrase “A New Saga Begins”.
Beyond this initial confirmation of a new saga in the franchise The Witcher, no other details (such as a development schedule or release date) were unfortunately provided. However, we already know that the developers of CD PROJEKT RED will be collaborating with those at Epic, with the main goal being to help adapt the engine to experiences in open worldstarting with the development of the franchise’s next game The Witcher.
