A detail spotted by a fan and confirmed by the director
Indeed, fans of The Batman can relax in front of the film which has been added to the HBO Max catalog since yesterday. Of course, in France, that is not yet possible. But one of them has detected a detail that had gone unnoticed by everyone during the theatrical screenings.
Thus, it was 31 minutes and 55 seconds into the film that the Internet user spotted something on a plan outside the Iceberg Lounge, the club belonging to Oswald Cobblepot, played by Colin Farrell. According to him, in this scene, we can see the Riddler (the Sphinx in VF) in an apartment, watching the club from his window.
To get to the bottom of it, he decided to challenge Matt Reeves on social networks. The latter very quickly confirmed the discovery by declaring: “Indeed, I can confirm 100%“.

We bet that with the confirmation of this easter-egg, fans will attempt to search for any hidden appearance of the Sphinx in all of the plans of The Batman if the filmmaker had fun hiding it in plain sight.
As a reminder, Paul Dano’s Sphinx performance seduced DC Comics because we learned thata mini-series dedicated to the Riddler will be published next October. Title Riddler: Year One, this bi-monthly six-issue mini-series will be written by the actor himself, who will be accompanied by cartoonist Stevan Subic. It will depict how Edward Nashton goes from being a citizen of Gotham City to the city’s most wanted criminal.
