The next Will Smith movie to be released is on hold
We have now learned that Will Smith’s next movie on Netflix, Fast & Loosewas suspended after the actor slapped comedian Chris Rock during the 94th Academy Awards. The film was to star Smith as a crime boss who must put his life back together after suffering memory loss following a stroke, and who eventually learns that he has led a double life in as long as poor CIA agent.
Namely that the filmmaker and director initially in charge of the project, David Leitch, pulled out of the project a week before the Oscars incident. According to a report by THRNetflix competed with Universal to broadcast Leitch’s next project. After the director’s departure, Netflix issued an urgent call for another director to take in charge of the projectbut shortly after Will Smith’s slap in the face against Chris Rock on the Oscars stageNetflix would have “discreetly put the project on hold”.
Other repercussions for Will Smith

The next film in the franchise bad boys was announced shortly after the exit of Bad Boys for Life. Will Smith reportedly received 40 pages of the script just days before the Oscars. The consequences are therefore clear for the actor who touched Chris Rock’s face.
