First via a mobile game that will launch on the platform in May, then via an anime series for adults planned for next year..
The animated series will be created by Mike Judge (Beavis and Butt-Head, Silicon Valley) and Greg Daniels (The Office US, Parks and Recreation), having already collaborated on the series The Kings of Texas (whose original title is king of the hill).
This series will then follow “the eternal conflict between Heaven and Hell, which reaches epic proportions when God and the Devil are sent to Earth in the bodies of large domestic cats”. Tom Ellis then recently shared on his Instagram account an image revealing the cast members of the upcoming Netflix animated series.
Matthew Inman, one of the creators of the Exploding Kittens franchisethen said:
Netflix is the only service that could bring Exploding Kittens to life in both a series and a game. We actually launched Exploding Kittens on Kickstarter as a project that occupied our weekends, but it was our community that was the heart and soul of the company over the past six years. The new series and new game will give our fans new ways to connect and interact with the franchise.
a mobile game planned for next month
Because indeed, there is also a video game based on the franchise that is planned for next month, titled Exploding Kittens – The Game. According to Netflix, the mobile game will retain the same classic gameplay where players draw cards aimed at avoiding the infamous explosive kitten, while adding new game-exclusive cards.including Radar, which reveals to players the position of the nearest explosive kitten in the deck of cards, as well as Flip Flop, which reverses the order of the cards in the deck.
The game Exploding Kittens – The Game is expected to feature single and multiplayer options, and will be available to Netflix subscribers at no additional cost or in-app purchases. Mike Moon, Head of Adult Animation at Netflixthen said:
