Series Moon Knight just delivered its third episode, which means we’re already halfway through the series. Episode 3, however, revealed to us lots of interesting new informationregarding Marc Spector, Khonshu, but also about Layla, which will be discussed in this article. It is indeed thanks to her that this episode 3 reconnects with the rest of the MCU.

Only three episodes left series Moon Knight to explore the MCU’s Egyptian pantheon, and to learn more about Marc Spector, who is presumably still hiding a heavy secret to Layla, and on his avatar, Steven Grant. And it seems, moreover, that another personality resides within them.
However, let us focus for the moment to another character : that of mogart, played by Gaspard Ulliel, who died tragically this winter following a skiing accident. This episode pays homage to her, and the character is central since it allows us to connect, with Layla, series Moon Knight to the rest of the MCU.
This unmissable detail that finally connects the series to the rest of the MCU
In the Marvel comics, mogart is best known for his alter ego, Midnight Man. He is a criminal with enhanced abilities, who steal artifacts and works of art. During a conversation, it is thus explained that Mogard and Layla both spent time Madrid. madripoor east an island present in the MCUwhich we recently discussed in Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and more recently still, in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
In the comics, Madrid is a small island nation located in Southeast Asia (specifically, in the Strait of Malacca). Like Singapore, Madripoor is made up of a single city. The country was originally founded by pirates centuries ago, which is why the local government has such a tolerant attitude towards crime and corruption. Madrid is a place where just about any vice can exist. And if you’ve made your fortune on the black market, there’s no safer place than Madripoor to hide your winnings ill-gotten. The people of Madripoor generally don’t care about your morals, since all that matters is that you have money. This is why it seems logical that Mogart, a wealthy man who is only interested in art, was attracted by the atmosphere that reigned there.

In doing so, Mogart necessarily had to deal with Sharon Carterwho is none other than Power Broker, a fact that was revealed during the series finale Falcon and the Winter Soldier. As a Power Brokerthe resources of Sharon Carter are extremely substantial.
The latter controls Madripoor, and even more, it is able to provide information classified defense secret to its future customers. Of course, Internet users and fans of the MCU directly spotted this element, which they hastened to reveal on social networks:

We will still have to wait an episode or 2 (or 3?) before understanding what the precise links were between Mogart, Layla and Sharon Carter, but one thing now seems obvious: these links exist, and the MCU will reveal them to us sooner or later.
