Whereas the next series from Marvel Studios, Moon Knightmust go out on Disney+ at the end of March, the series seems to interest many fans, as evidenced by the record it broke even before its release. This series will then be an opportunity to discover a new character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (mcu), but could also mix with other Super hero existing. In an interview given to On Demand Entertainment, actress May Calamawy spoke about her role in the new series Moon Knightwho will be the first main character of Arab descent in the MCU. When asked what future projects the actress would like to see her character inCalamawy replied: “I’m really interested in Doctor Strange. Who knows? We’ll see”.
Given that Moon Knight and the Sorcerer Supreme both have backgrounds in the mystical arts, it’s not hard to imagine the two coming together at some point. In addition, we see that Marvel Studios seems determined to expand its list of supernatural characterslike the next series Werewolf by Night which will introduce the character of Blade. Some fans are speculating that this could all lead to a crossover event featuring the creation of the Midnight Sons.
For now, many details regarding the story and characters of Moon Knight still remain unknown. For the moment, we know that Calamawy will play the role of Layla El-Faouly, an unknown character from Marc Spector’s past. which doesn’t seem to have a direct counterpart in the comics.

When it comes to crossovers, MCU fans will have to wait a while to see the main character, played by Oscar Isaac, meet other superheroes. Indeed, one of the executive producers, Grant Curtishad declared that the series would not have “no ties to the current MCU. It’s brand new and going on a whole new adventure. We really think fans are going to enjoy it”. And Curtis to add that Moon Knight “will take Marvel Studios back to its roots with Iron Man and Tony Stark”specifying that the series will take its time to build the character without relying on existing plots.
Curtis described the central theme of Moon Knight as being that of self-discovery. He explained:
It’s a story about identity and self-discovery. The journey that Marc Spector takes throughout the series is: Who am I? And how do I reconcile parts of my past, my present and my future with which I don’t necessarily agree? Facing our baggage and learning to live with ourselves is what we all do day to day.
Series Moon Knight will be available from March 30, 2022 on Disney+and the movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is scheduled to hit theaters in early May this year.
