When we approach the question of the most powerful superheroes of Marvel, the first name that comes to mind is certainly Hulk. However, it would seem thatwith the arrival of new characters in Phase 4 of the MCU, the Green Titan may well give way.
A minotaur and a god to dethrone the Hulk?
Indeed, the Hulk established himself as one of the strongest and most resilient superheroes in the Marvel Universe following Bruce Banner’s accidental exposure to gamma rays. Among the Avengers, he was one of the few who could compete with Thor. Corn over time, many MCU characters have been able to outrank the Hulk in terms of power. Except that with Phase 4 and the arrival of new characters in the MCU, Hulk may well drop a little further in the rankings. And all because of Rintrah and Zeus.
Two encounters and two knockouts
The first is an alien that looks like a minotaur and who has all the potential to become a powerful wizard. First apprentice of Enitharmon the Spinner, he becomes that of Doctor Strange. Rintrah will also appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and we could see it in the first official trailer of the film.
Originally from the planet R’Vall, Rintrah has already met the Hulk in the comics Incredible Hulk #370. During their meeting, the magic minotaur managed to knock out the Jade Colossus.
Regarding Zeusthe Greek god made in Marvel will take his first steps in Thor: Love and Thunder as Russell Crowe. In the next installment of the Adventures of the God of Thunder, Zeus might cause some trouble for Valkyrie and New Asgard. In addition to his magical powers, the god has an ability in unarmed combat that surpasses the Hulk. Besides, Zeus has also already beaten Banner in Incredible Hulk #622.
Of course, it remains to see how important these two new characters will be who are about to make their debut in the MCU. With Crowe’s choice to play Zeus, there’s a good chance he’ll have an important role in Love and Thunder. Also, while Rintrah and Zeus were able to beat the Hulk, there’s no telling that a comic book showdown will be in Phase 4. But movies will know how to show us their strength.
For his part, the current Hulk of the MCU is not as strong as in Thor: Ragnarok in which he showed us his power against Fenris, Hela’s wolf.
