Marvel: Daniel Radcliffe reacts to rumors about his role in Wolverine

A few days ago, we presented to you the revelation of Daniel Radcliffe concerning the remoteness of his interest to embody Spidermanand this despite the fact that the British actor is a true fan of the Super hero. And lately, Radcliffe also brought up another iconic superhero from marvel universedetermined to lift the veil on various rumors that we could find about him.

radcliffe as wolverine?

Propelled to the limelight thanks to the film saga Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe is one of those internationally recognized actors, having deeply marked an entire generation. Having become a real public figure as such, the actor is often amused by the reaction of his fans, who would like to see him play certain specific roles.

And lately, we have seen some rumors spreading on social networks, suggesting that Radcliffe could take on the role of Wolverine, emblematic character of the X-Men of the Marvel universe. The actor then revealed in a recent interview why fans want him so badly as Wolverine.

Radcliffe was a guest on the famous American show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to speak in his role in the upcoming biopic Weird: The Al Yankovic Storybut also for the promotion of his next film The Secret of the Lost City which will be released next month in our theaters and in which we will find the actor alongside big names such as Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum.

Jimmy Fallon took the opportunity to ask him about the persistent rumors that the actor could wear the uniform of the X-Men. Radcliffe then explains that in reality, it is his (small) size that is at the origin of all these fantasies. He said:

This is something that has come up very often in recent years. And every time it happens, I say “It’s not true. There is no such thing”. And everyone says: “Ah, he said it might be true”. And I answer: “No I didn’t say that. I said the opposite”.

And then every once in a while, I get tired of answering the question in a sensible way, so I’ll make a joke, and every time I make a joke, I’m like: “Why did I do this?”. So the other day I replied: “Prove me wrong Marvel!”, and that set fire to the powder. But yeah I think it’s because Wolverine is quite small in the comics, so I think people are like, “Which actor is short? Him. He may be able to play him”.

And while Fallon replies that he would make a “fantastic Wolverine” according to him, Radcliffe humbly thanks him, more than flattered by the comparison with the equally famous actor Hugh Jackman, who has long embodied the superhero on the big screen:

Anything involving the most fleeting resemblance to Hugh Jackman is incredibly flattering. So I’m happy with that.

Because one thing is certain, whoever will have to take over Wolverine’s mantle will have to live up to the character played by Hugh Jackmanimposing a real pressure on the shoulders of the potential successor, and that, Radcliffe is well aware of it.
