Must-have cake recipes

No matter all the different cake recipes that exist, we always come back to the same desserts. Those that make everyone agree, those that we are sure not to miss, and above all, those that are quick to do. Including chocolate cake, pound cake, yogurt cake, easy marble cake…

Marble cake: the cake that everyone likes

Marble cake is quick and easy. Soft and greedy, it is appreciated by all. Indeed, the vanilla chocolate mixture makes it a cake that makes everyone happy.

For a birthday dessert, or an improvised snack… The marble cake will make all your guests salivate. Only problem, marbling. Difficult to obtain a satisfactory result.

Fortunately, Cyril Lignac, the favorite chef of the French, gave live on RTL his tips for making it a success. “It’s my whole life” he first launched on the air. The restaurateur learned to do it with his mother and keeps very nice memories.

In fact, before the marbling step, it is first important to have a good recipe to obtain a soft and tasty cake.

You must have two different doughs, “one vanilla and another chocolate” explains Cyril Liganc. For this, this one recommends to “prepare a single dough”, which you will then divide into two parts. In one of these two parts, you must add chocolate or cocoa. The restaurateur prefers to add melted chocolate rather than cocoa.

Cyril Lignac’s trick for successful marbling

First, and this goes for all cakes… It is therefore recommended to butter and flour your mold well. This first step will prevent the dough from sticking and will help you easily unmold your cake after baking.

For successful marbling, the chef explains that it is important to place “first the vanilla batter, then the chocolate batter” in the mould. Take a “spoon with which you will go down from bottom to top in the dough, in order to create a whirlwind inside the cake”. This will give you a beautiful marbling.

For a better moistness… cook the marbled the day before

Now it’s time to bake your delicious marble cake. For this, always on the airwaves of RTL, Cyril Lignac advises to cook it for a long time at low temperature.

Bake your cake at 165°C for 45 minutes. Always so generous in tips… The famous chef also gave advice so that the marble, in addition to being as beautiful as possible, is also extremely soft when tasted.

The latter then advises to make his cake “the day before the tasting, by rolling it in cling film”. Next, he highly recommends placing the marble cake in the refrigerator. Indeed, this operation will allow the cake to “take back moisture and be very tender”.
