Lidl is one of the favorite brands of the French. With its quality products and low prices, customers can’t expect better! Unfortunately, the German distribution company sent us terrible news. A lot of products that should not be consumed!

Lidl: the superstore champion!

When it comes to value for money, it’s really hard to beat Lidl. The brand beats the competition hands down.

Indeed, Lidl not only offers products at low prices, but these are also of high quality! Thus, it grabs more and more customers from its competitors. The wealthier classes have effectively converted to the sign.

At the same time, she adapted to her newfound popularity. This by diversifying its products and also improving the aesthetics of its stores.

And at the end of the year, we even have the right to lobster and caviar! High class !

A brand that has experienced scandals

On the other hand, the German discount supermarket company is not free of any problems, and even scandals.

By reminding you of the death of a Lidl warehouse worker. The young man, overworked, had therefore hanged himself in his workplace, a strong sign of protest.

To date, an investigation is still underway to determine what could have caused such a gesture.

In fact, the investigation led to the arrest of several high-ranking people in the north of France. However, it is not only in France that Lidl has experienced scandals. But also in his country of origin!

In Germany, the brand was pinned for spying on employees with cameras and microphones in break rooms…

Beware of this dangerous product!

Sometimes scandals break out without it being the direct fault of Lidl. This is indeed the case when it comes to product recalls.

The problem usually stems from a defect in the manufacture of a few products. These are actually 340 gram cordon bleu.

These are potentially contaminated with residues of ethylene oxide. A very dangerous chemical agent for humans once ingested.

The incriminated batches, sold in Lidl in Belgium, therefore concerned blue cords of 340 grams, with the EAN code: 4056489214601. Their expiry date is from June 6 to September 17. Attention ! The cordons bleus produced during this period had to be brought back.

Above all, do not consume this Lidl product which is very toxic to your health!

Thus, the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (AFSCA) has therefore launched a new alert. Lidl 340g cordon bleu with an expiry date of June 10 to September 26 must be brought back. Also, even without a receipt, customers will now benefit from a full refund.

Dear reader, if you shop at our Belgian neighbours, be careful! It is well known that families buy in bulk and freeze food, especially during good promotions. Stay careful!
