Kaamelott: Simon Astier unveils the trailer for his series with the Palmashow

Eight months after the triumph of Kaamelott: First Part ofAlexandre Astierhis half-brother, Simonis about to release its brand new creation, which offers a first trailer.

A promising trailer

If for many spectators, his career boils down to his role as Yvain the Lion Knight, Guinevere’s brother, in Kaamelott, Simon Astier has never ceased to show the full extent of his talent – as an actor, director and screenwriter. So that his name would not forever be tagged only to the creation of his half-brother.

From 2007, he wrote with his lifelong friend Alban Lenoir the series Off Prime for M6, in which the two young screenwriters star alongside Virginie Efira. In 2008, the Simon Astier / Alban Lenoir duo took things up a notch, with the excellent superheroic series Hero Corpwhose five seasons run until 2017. Despite the passions it arouses with a community of loyal fans, the series will have a difficult production and distribution, so much so that the fifth and final season will be funded by fans.

Whilehe is currently adapting for the theater the hilarious novel The speech by FabcaroSimon Astier has just shared the first trailer for his brand new series: Visitors.

very enigmatic, the trailer for this first French WarnerTV series seems to reuse the codes of American SF and fantasy films. In Pointe-Claire, strange events occur after the arrival of one (or several?) UFOs. Screenwriter and Director, Simon Astier will also play the main character. : a policeman investigating these strange events.

If the tone of the trailer is decidedly dark, the end nevertheless gives us a hint a series in the purest style of the Astier family, which leaves a preponderant place to the absurd and to the dialogues which slam.

On the casting side, Simon Astier will be joined by Florence Loiret-Caille (The Office of Legends), Damien Jouillerot (Black Baron), Vincent Desagnat (Baby sitting, Alibi.com), Delphine Baril (The Adventures of Spirou and Fantasio), Adrien Menielle (Hero Corp, The Crazy Story of Max and Leon), Arnaud Joyet (Hero Corp), Gerard Darier (Hero Corp), Vincent Deniard (Red Wristbands), Jean-Michel Party (The Blues, first steps in the police), comedian Arnaud Tsamere. Without forgetting the Palmalshow duo, David Marsais and Grégoire Ludig, as well as the legendary Henry Guybet (The Adventures of Rabbi Jacob, The Seventh Company in the Moonlight or The pawn).

For now, the series does not yet have a release date. In any case, we remain attentive, and we will keep you informed when the news appears. And if you wonder about the absence of Yvain le Chevalier au Lion in Kaamelott: First Parthere are our theories about it.
