Elden Ring: he does the irreparable so that other players don't have to

It’s been almost a month sinceElden Ring entered the lives of millions of gamers. Some have already started their adventure several times, others visit every corner of the Underworld to unearth all its secrets. Only one player decided to commit the irreparable so that others would not have to. An act that will have cost him his humanity, with no way to go back.

/! Warning, the following contains spoilers for Elden Ring /!

an irreparable act

In Elden Ring, as in the Souls before it, it is possible to kill important characters. Knowing that NPCs are full of quests and mysteries, killing them can seem absurd. However, some cannot hold back their bloodlust. To help these disbelievers to repent, FromSoftware has created a specific item capable of resurrecting important characters: Celestial Dew. Be careful though, merchants are not considered important characters. However, it is possible to access their stalls even after their death, thanks to their cinerary pearl.

And in a series of videos on the subject of “What if…?“, YouTuber Prizzaa turned to Miriel. Miriel is none other than the giant tortoise wearing a miter who spends peaceful days at the Church of the Vows. Besides her pleasant information about Rennala and Radhan, Miriel also offers spells and incantations for sale. Even more so if you bring him breviaries. Only then, it is possible to kill him. And Prizzaa had a field day trying to find out what Miriel’s death could be hiding.

It was therefore armed with his bubble horn that the videographer relentlessly struck the turtle with a Christian miter before leaving with, as expected, his cinerary pearl. To top it off, Prizzaa tried to abolish her sins at the fountain located in the church. Fountain which, as mentioned a little above, allows you to resurrect an important character with a celestial dew. But Miriel is not considered an important character, this unfortunate victim cannot come back from the dead.

For no other reason than to be able to buy Miriel’s stock at the Round Table, this player has therefore slaughtered this poor innocent turtle. One of the few innocent, helpful, and selfless NPCs in the game has therefore been murdered so you don’t have to. As you will have understood, murdering Miriel is useless. You might as well focus your efforts on those who really deserve it.
