It is finally here ! Since May 4, Doctor Strange 2 is playing in French cinemas. The opportunity to find Stephen Strange in a horror blockbuster, but also to enjoy the cameo of one of these X-Men characters! Doctor Strange 2a record broken on its first day of release
Since May 4, MCU fans can finally discover Doctor Strange 2 At the movie theater. This blockbuster could well break records in view of the first figures achieved during its launch: the Multiverse of Madnesits counted 335,459 entries in 24 hoursthe best start of the year in cinemas in France, far ahead of The Batman (257,000 admissions in 24 hours). Patrick Stewart soon back in the MCU as Professor Xavier?
Among these, there were Professor Xavier, played on screen by Patrick Stewart. The character known for his membership in the X-Men team was presented here as a member of the Illuminati. In the universe in which he lived, he is part an assembly whose purpose is to coordinate the actions of their different teams. Professor Xavier embodies the leader of the group, composed in Doctor Strange 2 of Captain Carter, a new version of Captain Marvel, Mordo, Reed Richards and Black Arrow.
If all have unfortunately perished at the hands of Scarlet Witch in this universe, can they come back in MCU films or series? The question was posed to Patrick Stewart by Variety. For now, the actor prefers to be discreet and not reveal too many details about the future of his character : “Charles Xavier? Yeah. He might come back. You know, the whole X-Men comic book series is so huge, so vast, there might be an opportunity in which he comes back. We’ll see.”
If the actor is therefore not closed to the idea of resuming his role in future projects, nothing is official yet. In a previous conversation with RollingStonedating from before the release of Doctor Strange 2he had tried to put the brakes on fans who insisted that mutants would land via the multiverse: “It’s a very tricky area… All I can tell you is that we’ll have to see. But bear in mind that Professor Xavier has already died twice. I think he must have kind of a Superman quality.”
Doctor Strange 2 : a film that ends really well?
You have understood it, it will therefore be necessary to be patient before seeing if Professor Xavier will be back in a Marvel Studios movie or series. What is certain is that the story of Doctor Strange 2 does not end as well as we would like us to believe… And for good reason, even if America Chavez allows Wanda Maximoff to realize all the chaos she has sown and put an end to it , that doesn’t mean Stephen Strange’s actions will remain without consequence.
Doctor Strange still created an incursion, what destroys the balance in the multiverse and can annihilate universes forever. At the end of the film, we can discover the mysterious witch Clea (played by Charlize Theron), taking Doctor Strange with her to fix what he has messed up. In the comics, andShe eventually becomes the Sorceress Supreme of the Dark Dimension and marries Doctor Strange.. She is incredibly powerful, with the ability to create illusions, teleport, and control people’s minds. Clea’s arrival in the MCU suggests that the multiverse, as well as her relationship with Doctor Strange, will be explored more in the future. However, seeing them trying to repair the incursions could lead them to the One Who Remains (aka Kang the Conqueror)which should appear in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. And as you now know, this character is expected as the new Thanos, be the most powerful antagonist against the Marvel heroes!
