Breaking Bad: the prequel series will bring back these two cult characters

The series experienced a huge gain in popularity in the 2010s. Among the big successes of those yearsBreaking Bad (2008-2013), which has since had the right to a prequel series. Title Better Call Saulthis one is about to come back for a final season which would prepare a big surprise for the fans!

A hit series and a prequel that is about to end

With the many offers available today, divided between Netflix, Prime Video or Disney + to name a few, streaming allows you to discover thousands of different series. But some of them did not need to wait for the emergence of these streaming platforms to explode: Game of Thrones, The Walking Deador even breaking Bad are today one of the most cult series.

It is the latter which appeared first, since its first season was broadcast in 2008. It was then in 2013 that the adventures of methamphetamine seller Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and his former student Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) ended.

But good news for fans: Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, the creators of the prequel series Better Call Saul, whose last season will land in April, recently teased the return of the two characters!

Walter White and Jesse Pinkman back for season 6 of Better Call Saul ?

Broadcast since 2015, Better Call Saul takes place before the events of breaking Bad and dwells on the life of Saul Goodman, Walter White’s corrupt lawyer. And if other characters from the original series could be seen during the first five seasons, fans are still waiting for a return of those played by Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul. Good news, there is a (very very) strong chance that they will finally make their comeback.

It would be a real shame if the series ended without Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul appearing, wouldn’t it? […] You will have heard it here first. Vince Gilligan

Here is the statement made by one of the two co-creators of Better Call Saul to variety yesterday and which already leaves little room for doubt. But Peter Gould decided to drive the point home later: “If ever it were to happen, it’s when the two series start to intersect.” If no affirmation is clearly pronounced, so there is still a good chance that Walter White and Jesse Pinkman will appear on the screen one last time soon.

As a reminder, the sixth and final season of Better Call Saul will land on April 19, 2022 on Netflix.
