the court case opposing the two hollywood stars, Amber Heard and Johnny Depp, continues to make headlines, as compromising recordings have revealed the violent nature of the actress. But Heard’s defense was also undermined by a famous cosmetic brand quoted in the plea of the American actress.

Makeup brand Milani was recently embroiled in the trial’s media soap opera between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp. But after Heard’s lawyers used one of the products as part of the argument for the actress’ defense, the brand in question came to correct the chronology presented by the actress.
In her opening statements, Heard’s attorney, J. Ben Rottenborn, appeared in court with a makeup palette from Milani Cosmetics’ “All In One Correcting Kit” line in her hand, claiming then that the actress had used the product to camouflage her bruises during her relationship with Depp. Heard’s lawyer would then have said, showing the makeup palette:
That’s what she used. She has become very expert in this field. You are going to hear Amber’s testimony of how she had to mix the different colors for the different days of the bruises as they developed and how she touched them up to be able to cover them.
But the movie star Aquaman filed for divorce from Depp in 2016, before Milani Cosmetics launched the product line. And the brand confirmed it a few days ago on its official TikTok account.showing that the product in question was only marketed from 2017.

The video then highlights that the abuse Heard allegedly suffered from Depp began around 2014 and the couple divorced in 2016. about a year before the release of this makeup palette. However, some sources suggest that the defense showed this makeup palette not to refer to that particular brand’s product, but more to show the type of product she used to use. The fact is that following this response from Milani Cosmetics, Heard’s defense is being undermined, questioning the credibility of the words of the actress. A small detail that could have been better anticipated by Heard’s lawyers.
For his part, Depp is currently suing Heard following a column written in 2018 in the washington post in which the actress says she is “a public figure representing domestic violence”. Although Heard is not named Depp in her article, her lawyers argue that it is clear that she was referring to the actor and that it had a “significant impact on Mr Depp’s family and his ability to work”. He then asked $50 million in damages.
Heard therefore decided to counter-attack his former companion, asking for $100 million. She then showed old messages from the actor, in which he hoped the actress’ “decomposing corpse” would end up “in the trunk of a Honda Civic.”
