While the trial between Amber Heard and her ex-husband Johnny Depp is currently on hold, the actressAquaman took the floor on Thursday, May 5 to deliver his version of the facts. During his hearing, Amber Heard decided to evoke a former girlfriend of the actor, accusing him of having already been violent with her and of having pushed him down the stairs.
Exhume an old rumor to accuse Depp
Indeed, this is reported by the New York Post. Amber Heard recounts the day she first punched Johnny Depp. She explains that if she had acted in this way it is because the couple was arguing on a mezzanine in 2015. Whitney, Amber’s little sister, tried to separate them and that’s when she was afraid that Johnny Depp would push her down the stairs. Her sister was then with her back to the stairs and “Johnny jumped on him“.

Unproven facts
This is not the first time that Amber Heard has mentioned the British model. The latter had shared the life of Johnny Depp between 1994 and 1998. During a previous defamation lawsuit led by the actor against his ex-wife, she had already addressed that rumor from the stairs. At the time, she said:
I remembered information I had heard. He pushed an ex-girlfriend, I think it was Kate Moss, down the stairs. I had heard this rumor from two people and it was fresh in my mind.
Finally, Amber Heard ends her testimony by stating that until this episode, she had never hit her husband and that Depp did not push his sister down the stairs.
The question remains as to why the actress exhumed this rumor of Kate Moss because despite a tumultuous relationship in the 90s, the actor’s fall down the stairs of the British model has never been confirmed. Moreover, Kate Moss never claimed Johnny Depp was ever violent with her. Amber Heard most certainly attempted to pass him off as a repeat offender in this trial which will resume on May 16 in Virginia.
