The interpreter of Star Lord is accused of a number of things by Internet users, such as his membership in an American church called the Zoe Church, whose pastor would be associated with anti-LGBT movements. That’s not all, the actor has also drawn the wrath of Internet users with an Instagram post that some considered completely inappropriate vis-à-vis his ex-wife and his previous child.
James Gunn doesn’t just speak out in defense of Chris Pratt on social media
Thereby, Internet users have mobilized to demand the dismissal of Chris Pratt within Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, something James Gunn will never do. Not only becausehe does not believe for a second the allegations made against himas he recently revealed on social media: “For what reason? Because of your made up and totally false beliefs about him? For something someone else told you that isn’t true? Chris Pratt will never be replaced as Star- Lord, but if he ever was, we would all go with him.”
The second reason is much happier: Chris Pratt could in no way have been replaced in his role as Star-Lord since the filming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 will be completed within a week, while the production of the TV movie Holiday specialexpected on Disney+ next December, is already over : “We finished shooting the Holiday Special this week (released in December). We finished shooting Vol 3 in a week (released in May)”. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 will be an opportunity to integrate new characters into the MCU, but also to say goodbye to the band as we know it. Regarding the spin-off TV movie, James Gunn describes it as “one of the best things he’s ever done”.
