After the release of film Black Panther in 2018, Marvel Studios quickly began developing a sequel with director Ryan Coogler. The film was unfortunately delayed following a tragedy at the end of 2020, when the star Chadwick Boseman died after secretly battling colon cancer for more than four years. Black Panther 2, a highly anticipated film
Most details about Black Panther: Wakanda Forever have not yet been officially unveiled, but marvel studios confirmed that some original cast members would be back, such as Shuri (Letitia Wright), Okoye (Danai Gurira), Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o), or M’Baku (Winston Duke).
Kevin Feige also previously confirmed that Dominique Thorne would debut as Ironheart in Black Panther 2but sadly, the studio still hasn’t confirmed the long-running rumor that Namor would be the big villain of the film.
Yesterday, marvel studios revealed more to us, however, by unveiling the first images of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as part of the presentation of Disney at CinemaCon 2022. And the images in question, which unfortunately could not be revealed to the public, present according to all the media present a plan of Shuri, Okoye and Nakia united in the front line of a battle. The first pictures of Black Panther 2 however, do not confirm who the Army of Wakanda is preparing to fight, but it could be a teaser about the upcoming role of Namor.
Why are these images shown first?
The first picture of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever which focuses on Nakia, Okoye and Shuri is not very surprising. They will be three of the main characters of the sequel, and their presence at the head of the army of wakanda highlights their important role in the country. The theory after all is that Shuri is the new leader of Wakanda during Black Panther 2 and the next person to wear the costume of Black Panther.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever won’t come out only in November 2022it will therefore probably be necessary to wait several more months before people can discover the first images of the film, and that we can continue to make assumptions about the latter.
