In a new preview of the comics’ latest event Star Wars: Crimson Reignthe Knights of Ren are heading for a major showdown with the Sith Lord Darth Vader. Sent by Lady Qi’ra of the Scarlet Dawn, the group of dark side adept fighters attempt to break into Vader’s castle on the planet Mustafarin order to take whatever they can for themselves, as well as a special object for their employer. In previous issues of Crimson Reign, fans have learned that Qi’ra has taken over the reins of the crime syndicate once led by Darth Maul, transforming it into something much bigger. This new preview of the comics Star Wars: Crimson Reign #4, directed by Charles Soule and Steven Cummings, shows the Knights of Ren arriving on the small volcanic planet in the Mustafar system. While it’s unclear exactly what Qi’ra wants them to recover, the Knights are more than happy to do so, confident that this theft will make them legends. But they still remain aware of the audacity of such an act, which is why they chose to break into the castle at a time when Vader is not present. This overview not only allows you to review Vaneé, Darth Vader’s servant discovered for the first time in the movie Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016), but also hints that the Knights of Ren’s strategy of sneaking into the Sith Lord’s castle is already compromised. And while many fans would appreciate seeing a clash between Darth Vader and the master of the Knights of Renit should end in a stalemate, given that the latter died at the hands of Kylo, the grandson of Vader, years later.
Given the Rule of Two, fans have seen Vader face relatively few followers of the dark side in the franchise’s official canon..
