This is a Turkish series that tells the story of Arman, a non-conformist dive instructor and marine biologist. The latter prepares to participate in a research mission in a submersible, and finally finds himself on board of Yakamoz S-245. It is a military submarine occupied by people trying to survive a solar disaster that exterminates all forms of life on the surface of the earth. Arman and his team will therefore have to do everything necessary to survive, while trying to maintain correct relations (and more if affinities), to avoid perishing like the rest of humanity.
Comprising 7 episodes with an average length of 47 minutes, Yakamoz S-245 is a series derived from the Belgian series Into the Night and the parallel adaptation of the Polish novel The Old Axolotl by Jacek Dukaj, published in 2015. On the casting side, we find in particular Kıvanç Tatlitug (dubbed by the press “The Brad Pitt of the Orient”) as Arman, and Özge Özpirincciin the role of Defne.

What is the series really worth Yakamoz-s245 ?
The scenario as it was presented to us before we read series Yakamoz-S245 seemed interesting to us; a solar catastrophe, we knew, but a natural catastrophe caused by an abnormal solar radiation treated since a submarine had potential, in our opinion, in terms of creativity. However, it is unfortunately the lack of budget that is obvious when launching this series. The dialogues are relatively flat, and, worst of all, the story is not in the least plausible when you have in-depth knowledge of how submarines work.
This series had potentialcertainly, but it is, for us, not at all at the level of Into the Night. This is a series that you can watch out of the corner of your eye while performing another task if you have an interest in the post-apocalyptic genre, that’s all.
