Moon Knight: this tragic event will occur in the next episodes

There are only two episodes left to be released for series Moon Knight, which means a lot can still happen before the conclusion of the Disney+ series. And for now we know from a reliable source that some tragic moments will be shown to us over the next two episodes. We take stock of the subject.

WARNING: the rest of this article contains spoilers concerning the first 4 episodes of Moon Knight. Do not continue reading if you do not want to read it.

How are you Mark?

Episode 4 ended with a dejected and presumed dead Marc Spector, before the latter woke up in a mental hospital alongside his alternate personality, Steven Grant. However, previously, actor Rey Lucas confirmed to variety that he would embody Marc Spector’s fatherElias Spector, in the series Moon Knight. Since Rey Lucas has yet to appear on the show, he should be an interesting character to introduce for the last two episodes.

Moreover, Oscar Isaacwho plays the character of Moon Knight, has publicly stated that his character will soon approach “a very intense childhood drama”. Moon Knight’s origin story in the comics involves a traumatic event that Marc Spector lived in his childhood, with a person related to Elias, his father. Indeed, as you now knowMoon Knight suffers from dissociative identity disorder, a mental disorder that usually occurs after a traumatic event. However, at present, Marc and his various personalities seem to be trapped within a psychiatric establishment. It therefore seems natural to think that the traumatic event referred to in the comics (quite macabre) is revealed in the open in the next episode, within this psychiatric establishment which seems to represent the system (or “common place”) different character personalities.

If you want to stick to these very general explanations, to avoid being spoiled, do not continue reading. We are now going to get to the heart of the matter and talk about the traumatic event in question.

Final episodes already teased

When he was a child, Elias Spector fled with his mother and Yitz Perlman to avoid Nazi persecution after Adolf Hitler’s invasion of Czechoslovakia. Yitz Perlman was actually a Nazi defector who had adopted the identity of Elias’ (long-lost) father’s rabbi friend and helped them flee to America. The latter also killed Elias’ father, because he was the only person who knew his true identity. Elias later had two sons, namely Marc and Randall. Very quickly, Marc began to consider Yitz Perlman as his uncle. Unfortunately, Perlman had discovered a method to extend his lifespan: sufficiently stimulate the dark and primordial pleasure center of his brain on a regular basis. And to stimulate the dark part that was in him, the latter continued to kill Jewish people on a regular basis.

One day Mark came across a secret room in the synagogue of Yitz Perlman, where the latter was determined to kill. Perlman then disappeared into thin air, but it was precisely this event that led Marc to suffer dissociative identity disorder. And on their side, the directors Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson teased how the last two episodes have a lot more surprises in store for fans. Aaron Moorhead, for EW, said:

I think if you were surprised by episode 4, prepare to be surprised again by episodes 5 and 6. I know that sounds like a nice little tag, but I promise you it’s actually the case.
