The Mandalorian: before season 3, the Star Wars series returns in a new way

Earlier this month, we revealed to you that the third season from the Serie The Mandalorian should be released sooner than expected according to this actor, the fans being then impatient to know the continuation of the adventures of Din Djarinalso known as mando. But before fans can find out what awaits them in the next season of the Disney+ seriesthey will be able to rediscover the first moments of the series, adapted in a format that is unexpected to say the least.

an unexpected adaptation

The Mandalorian Din Djarin has become one of the most popular characters introduced during recent developments in the Star Wars franchise, despite not having appeared in any movies yet. And as Marvel Comics looks to release a new adaptation of the Disney+ series, it looks like Mando and his adorable sidekick Grogu are also set to receive their own adaptation… in manga!

The manga should thus tell the story of the first season of the hit series. In a Twitter post (which has since been deleted), the Manga Mogura RE account states that the first chapter of this manga adaptation is scheduled to be released on May 25 this year in the pages of Big Gangan. Its realization would have been entrusted to Yusuke Osawaa mangaka who has already taken care of another Disney property in the past, with a manga adaptation of Spider-Man dating from 2019, titled Spider-Man: Fake Redbut which was unfortunately canceled the following year due to disappointing sales.

But Yusuke Osawa is a mangaka known for his attraction to science fiction, which can be found in his previous works as Green Worldz or The Ballad of Ran. Osawa thus has experience when it comes to creating worlds based on the genre of science fiction, and could be able to transcribe the universe of Star Wars in a manga.

Currently, the third season of The Mandalorian hasn’t received an official release date yet, but fans got to see some major events featuring the bounty hunter in the show’s first season. The Boba Fett Book. With the reunion of Mando and Grogu, aka Baby Yoda, the next season has already begun to buildgiving a glimpse of what might happen to the characters as they continue their adventures.

However, before the return of The Mandalorian on our screens, Disney+ will release the series Obi-Wan Kenobi, thus signing the return of emblematic actors of the Star Wars franchise, such as Ewan McGregor who will return in the title role, as well as Hayden Christensen who will reprise his role as Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker. And this time around, it’s unlikely that fans will see Mando appear in this series, given that it will take place long before the events of the series that introduced Grogu to fans.

And to continue in the same theme, find out everything to expect from Star Wars Celebration 2022 to come, right here.
