Comedian Johnny Depp, currently in the middle of his trial against Amber Heard, has made a major cinematic revelation. The actor has indeed revealed that he has never seen one of the greatest films of his career. A timeless classic and totally iconic of pop culture.
Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard: new round
Currently, Johnny Depp is in the middle of his legal troubles. Indeed, his ex-wife, Amber Heard accuses him of domestic violence and took him to court. The latter has been trying to defend himself for several months now, and many revelations against the young actress have just surfaced. Amber Heard would not ultimately be completely innocent in this case and would also have abused Johnny Depp. The trial is in full swing right now…
Recently, Johnny Depp gave incongruous testimony during his trial. The actor has indeed dropped a bomb that has absolutely nothing to do with the case that falls to him. He actually revealed that he has never seen Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl !
Johnny Depp doesn’t like watching his movies
It is Matthew Belloni, founder of Puck News, who revealed the information on his Twitter account. He therefore claims that Johnny Depp explained during the hearing of his trial that he never watched the first opus of the saga Pirates of the Caribbean (and therefore logically probably the following ones). Matthew Belloni points out that Johnny Depp had even been nominated for an Oscar for his portrayal of Jack Sparrow in The Curse of the Black Pearl.
Johnny Depp just said in short he never saw the first PIRATES movie. Remember, he was nominated for an Oscar for that film. Just a ball move right there.

But it’s not the first time that Johnny Depp clarifies his aversion to the films in which he has shot. Indeed, he has in the past revealed that he very rarely watches the films in which he appears. He thus joins the list of those actors who never watch their movies like Meryl Streep, Joaquin Phoenix, Javier Bardem or even Reese Witherspoon. Pirates of the Caribbean is therefore only one of the many films with Johnny Depp that Johnny Depp has not seen.
Where is the saga?
Released in 2003 and directed by Gore Verbinski, the first Pirates of the Caribbean was a huge hit with fans and the press. The feature film is 5-time Oscar nominee and grossing over $654 million of recipes at the box office (for a budget of 140 million). In all, 5 films were releasedfor a recipe amounting to more than $4.5 billion at the box office.
At the moment, it is not known in what form the saga will return. Pirates of the Caribbean. For a time, Disney wanted to produce Pirates of the Caribbean 6 with Johnny Depp. But his setbacks with the law and his trial with Amber Heard have cooled the studio. Then, the big-eared firm has hypothesized to make a female spin-off of the license worn by Margot Robbie, without Johnny Depp. An announcement that did not really please fans of the saga. Anyway, for the moment, nothing concrete is really in the cards around the franchise Pirates of the Caribbean…
