/! Warning, the following contains spoilers for Chapter 82 of Dragon Ball Super /!

a memory that sticks

And now, last week, chapter 82 of Dragon Ball Super was going out. Readers then discovered Goku, teleported to another planet thanks to instantaneous movement to limit collateral damage as much as possible. To save time, Goku travels from planet to planet, visiting the galactic prison on the way. This is where Gas meets old acquaintances, who offer him to support him in this confrontation where Goku regains the upper hand.

Only, sure of himself, Gas will look down on these criminals behind bars. Criminals who, unfortunately for him, remember his little gap that occurred years ago. To avenge his disdain, these criminals will reveal to Goku a particularly crisp information, namely that Gas had not managed to restrain himself from peeing as a child, staining his bottom. An embarrassing memory for the overpowered warrior, which denotes completely with this identity of galactic threat.

An uninhibited situation that will allow Gas to seem a little more “human”. Goku will take the opportunity to dig into this parcel of Gas’s humanity to try to find out more. He then ends up understanding that Gas’ loyalty to his eldest lies in this gain in power which has transformed the weakest of the siblings into the strongest. A feeling that Goku can conceive but not necessarily understand, he who had to juggle the ambitions of Raditz.

You know it, Raditz was none other than the eldest son of Bardack and Gine and incidentally the brother of Kakarot, aka Goku. It’s in Dragon Ball Z that Raditz, who had decided to aim for Earth alongside Vegeta and Nappa, finds death. Piccolo ends up killing him, along with Goku, to save Son Gohan. Despite his quick death, Raditz was not erased from the memory of Goku, who remembers his brother many chapters later.

It remains to be seen whether the relationship between Goku and Raditz will further influence the fight between the Saiyan and Gas. Answer in the next chapters, with in particular a few pages of the fight between Bardock and Gas. It’s a safe bet that this confrontation will find its denouement in the next chapter with, at the key, the solution to defeat this monster of power. But to find out more, you’ll have to be patient.
