Warner: Ezra Miller has just sunk the DCEU and the Fantastic Beasts saga

At the end of March, actor Ezra Miller was arrested in the Hawaiian archipelago for disturbing public order and harassment. Following this incident, the big shots at DC and Warner would have met urgently to discuss the future of their plans with the actor. An uncertain future that could well mark the end of the DCEU and the saga Fantastic Beasts as we know them.

In an article by Rolling Stone, it is written in black and white that Warner Bros. and DC Films reportedly held an emergency meeting on March 30 following the arrest of actor Ezra Miller in Hawaii. According to American media sources, Miller’s future is uncertain: Warner Bros. wanted to freeze the various projects of the actor, as well as his future appearances within the DCEU. Although it’s too late for the movie The Flash, his arrest would therefore have an impact on a potential sequel. A decision that can still wait a bit, a period of one year has been advanced before a real decision is necessary.

Neither Miller, nor Warner Bros., nor DC spoke on the subject. Especially since, Miller is not only one of the cornerstones of the current DCEU, he is currently the interpreter of the character of Croyance Bellebosse whose role must take on importance with Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets. It remains to be seen what resolutions the decision-makers will take in this case. Following the publication of Rolling Stone’s article, fans already have their own idea in mind.

And for good reason, some believe it’s time for Ezra Miller to put away his Flash costume to make way for Grant Gustin, aka the interpreter of Barry Allen / Flash in the CW series Flash since 2014. A decision that would make sense remains to be seen whether the first concerned would be interested.

“Give the role to Grant Gustin please my god this man is so good he deserves better than a $5 budget show.”

This isn’t the first time actor Ezra Miller has been the victim of controversy. In addition to his arrest last March and recurring “crises” on the film set, the actor was filmed in April 2020 strangling a young woman in Reykjavik, Iceland. No complaint was filed by the young woman and the actor had been escorted. As a reminder, the output of The Flash is scheduled for June 2023. Warner therefore has time to reflect on the situation and make a decision.
