Introducing Marvel superhero Shang-Chi, Destin Daniel Cretton’s film also features an adorable and strange creature answering to the sweet name of Morris. This one could never have appeared in the final cut, but that would have been a shame.

Indeed, one of the screenwriters of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Dave Callahan would then not have kept any – literally – indelible memory of this experience. We recently learned that he had made a bet with the director: was the creature called Morris going to make an appearance in the film? Callaham must have thought not. He was wrong.

It was in an Instagram post (available right here) that director Destin Daniel Cretton revealed, two days ago, betting with screenwriter Dave Callahan that Morris would appear in the 25th Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. This one must now assume the consequences, several months after the release of the feature film in dark rooms, by having the creature tattooed on the inside of the right leg, video in support!

As a reminder, Shang-Chi, Xialing and Katy meet Morris because she is the creature (and friend) used by Trevor Slattery, the English actor who had been unknowingly passed off as the leader of the Ten Rings and now condemned to produce shows for the organization.
