In 2020, if you’re a Netflix regular, you certainly couldn’t miss this global phenomenon that has invaded the streaming platform. Adapted from the series of books by author Blanka Lipińska, 365 IDs (in original version) or 365 days in French version will offer not one, but two sequels. Netflix has just made it official and brings us a lot of information on what awaits us.
Polish 50 Shades of Gray returns to Netflix
Landed during the summer of 2020 on Netflix, 365 IDs was like a UFO. Considered as the 50 Shades of Gray Polish, this erotic thriller quickly became controversial because of its culture of rape, the fact that it flouts consent and demeans women.
The film tells the story ofa young woman who is kidnapped by a powerful member of the Sicilian mafia and explains to him thathe gives her a year to fall in love with him. Unsurprisingly, given the success of 365 IDs, the question of consequences arose. And Netflix was quick, despite the controversy, to announce that two new installments were in production last May. Stating that these two new opuses would be softer than the novels.
New characters who will turn Laura and Massimo’s relationship upside down
This Thursday, April 7, the SVOD platform communicated a lot of information around these suites of 365 IDs. Thus, we know that the second opus will be called 365 DNI: The next day and that we will of course find Massimo Torricelli and Laura Biel embodied respectively by Michele Morrone and Anna Maria Sieklucka. Spectators will also find Olga, played by Magdalena LamparskaLaura’s friend and Otar Saralidze in the role of Domenico.
In addition to the faces already known, this sequel will introduce new characters who will turn the lives of Laura and Massimo upside down. For now, we only knowonly one new cast member. It is Simone Susinna, who will play the role of Nacho who will try to seduce Laura.
Secrets that could complicate things
On the synopsis side, Netflix explains that the new life of the main protagonists will be turned upside down in particular by Massimo’s family and that’a mysterious stranger will burst in to earn Laura’s gain and trust Whatever the cost.
Additionally, the streaming platform released a first trailer for 365 days: Overnight. A trailer in which we can see Laura in lingerie facing Massimo and a relationship of domination settles between the two. There follow several scenes in which the main characters wear classy outfits in places of dreams. But very quickly, we understand that the mafia will burst in and complicate the relationship of Laura and Massimo. Moreover, the latter seems to hide a heavy secret. We also see the mysterious Nacho.
