Marvel: Wolverine proves that torture is not the right way to obtain information

Spread the word, Wolverine is one of the greatest heroes in the Marvel Universe. It is also one of the most powerful. Despite this, the member of the X-Men has some shortcomings in areas that require a little more than physical strength. For example, did you know that the hero was really not good at all at gathering information?

A tough interrogation

In X-Men Unlimited: Latitude #1Logan is in charge of recover three mutants kidnapped by AIM on the Peak, the X-Men’s orbital station. Determined to save his friends, Wolverine will stop at nothing to retrieve the information that would allow him to locate his mutant cronies.

Unfortunately for him, the hero will fall on a terribly resilient guy… Rather than deliver the information sought by Logan, the man will prefer to keep quiet. It will then push Wolverine to use force to make him talk. With his behavior, the AIM agent will demonstrate that torture does not always work.

Wolverine Gets Tricked Into Beauty

The comic series X-Men Unlimited: Latitude, written by Jonathan Hickman and drawn by artist Declan Shalvey, seems to stand out for its singularity. Through this one-shot integrated into the main continuity, Wolverine is caught up in a mission that seems more difficult to accomplish than expected. During a comedic sequence, he captures and beats up an AIM man. However, the agent refuses to reveal the location of the mutants the hero is desperately looking for.

When he finally gets an answer, it turns out that this will be a lie. The AIM agent will eventually succeed in trapping Logan by leading him directly to MODOK. Obviously, Wolverine’s interrogation tactics aren’t quite there. Logan would probably have been better off looking for his friends himself, without wasting time. By the way, we can greet AIM agent’s faculties of resistance, who, despite the violence of the blows, did not spill the beans. This will serve as a lesson to Wolverine! Using his head will prevent him from falling into the traps of his opponents…
