Marvel: Deadpool would have stolen the identity of this character and would therefore not be called Wade Wilson

Deadpool became more famous with the general public following the release of the two films dedicated to him. However, he is a complex character, different and let’s say it, totally crazy. While his primary identity is Wade Wilson, the character has had many different personalities, however, and different identities. In a Marvel comic, another character suggests that Deadpool stole his identity, and that Wade Wilson’s name belongs to him.

Deadpool: more craziness

One of the most controversial characters in the Marvel Universe has always been Deadpool. But perhaps his biggest secret concerns his secret identity. Generally, the man behind Deadpool’s mask is a certain Wade Wilson. But the latter is so crazy that he is able to change his identity without realizing it. In the comics Deadpool #33 by Joe Kelley and David Brewer, it is revealed that Deadpool may not be called Wade Wilson ultimately. Apparently, Deadpool tried to kill the real Wade Wilson to take on his identity. Holy story.

If we follow the plot of this comic, the real Wade Wilson was a Calgary teacher. While vacationing in Maine with his wife, the real Wade Wilson took in an injured man named Jack who was hiding from his former employers because of a job gone wrong. The mysterious individual turns out to be a dangerous assassin trying to kill Wade Wilson. But the latter survives the attack, unlike his wife, who dies in excruciating pain. Jack feels so guilty that his ravaged mind convinces him he’s the real Wade Wilson, and that his wife has just died, murdered by a certain Jack. Basically Deadpool, in one of his psychotic delusions, reverses the roles and places himself as a victim. So much so that he takes on the identity of the man he just attacked.

Holy story

So the truth comes out in this comics Deadpool #33 when the real Wade resurfaces to demand revenge. He calls himself T-Ray, a character quite famous among comic book readers. T-Ray tells her about their common past and tries to explain to her that he stole her identity. But the comics Cable & Deadpool #39 will bring a reassuring outcome to our dear mercenary in red tights. Readers learn that T-Ray tried to manipulate Deadpool with this absurd story to weaken him. Deadpool is Wade Wilson, well, as far as he knows. Moreover, there is documented evidence that attests that Wade Wilson joined the military in the pastlong before he became the famous Deadpool.

But given the massive holes in Deadpool’s history, anything is possible. And the writers can clearly have fun with the identity and the madness of the character to make him swallow any madness. And then, whether Deadpool is Wade Wilson or notthere will always be the “same psychotic idiot he’s always been” as T-Ray says so well in the comics dedicated to him. Another funny story to add to the prize list of this dear Deadpool…
