Marvel: Daredevil and the Kingpin should return in this future Disney + series

These two returns have greatly marked the minds of the fans. In Spider-Man: No Way Home, comedian Charlie Cox makes a short appearance as Daredevil. A long-awaited return that finally makes it possible to make a solid link between the old Marvel / Netflix series and the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The same week, the last episode of Hawkeye revealed the return of another character from the series Daredevil : The Caïd. Indeed, actor Vincent D’Onofrio has been called back to take over the role of this famous villain in the series on the archer. Now, fans keep wondering when these two characters might return. And we finally have an answer.

The universe of Daredevil is embedded in the MCU

From 2015 to 2018, showrunners Steven S. DeKnight and Drew Gaddard imagined and directed a series centered on Daredevil. The idea is to make people forget about the movie with Ben Affleck and introduce a whole new iteration of the character. This time, the blind vigilante is camped by Charlie Cox. The series met with resounding success on Netflix, which launched the Defenders universe on the platform.

The success of the series Daredevil also explains by the presence of the Caïd, an emblematic villain brilliantly embodied by the actor Vincent D’Onofrio. On the occasion of the movie Spider-Man: No Way HomeMatt Murdock makes a short appearance in which he helps Peter Parker accused of murdering Mysterio. A simple cameo, but which means a lot since it opens the door the returns of the Marvel/Netflix series in the MCU. At the same time, Le Caïd turned out to be the big villain of the series. Hawkeye during the last episode of the show. But his tragic fate disappointed many fans. Although many of them think that The Caïd is not really dead (after all his death is off-screen).

They will be back soon

Since then, fans have been constantly speculate as to their next appearance in the MCU. Well we may have a solid answer. We know than a series Echo is in preparation on Disney+. This show will tell the adventures of Maya Lopez, played by Alaqua Cox in the series Hawkeye. Chances are, this Echo-centric series is set in the past, before the events of Hawkeye, which could allow an obvious return of the Caïd, who places himself as his mentor throughout Jonathan Igla’s show. And logically, Daredevil could also be there.

It is the costume designer Stacy Caballero who has just confirmed the information without wanting it. The latter will work on the series Echo from next year. And on his worksheet are listed the names of Alaqua Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio and Charlie Cox. Even if this information is still to be taken with tweezers and that Marvel Studios has not yet confirmed anything, the return of these two characters within the series Echo makes perfect sense given the events that will be presented. Even if the plot of the show is still kept secret, we know however that actor Graham Greene will also be in the cast and that filmmaker Sydney Freeland will direct at least one episode of the series.
