Straight square, very degraded cut… to bring a breath of fresh air to your look this spring, adopt a graphic hairstyle for your hair! Read on…

Assume your hair hairstyle!

“Mature women need to get rid of the stereotypes that have stuck with them for too long. The hairstyle is the dress of the face and it is also a means of expression. Just because we’re over 50 doesn’t mean we absolutely have to wear short, gray hair,” says Biocoiff trainer Elisabete Casaca.

The trends this season? Geometric and architectural lines for assumed and assertive personalities. We tell you everything in this article!

The mule revisited

From now on, forget everything you thought you knew about the mule and the image of MacGyver stuck in your mind! The 2022 version has nothing to do with it and is therefore more of an ultra-gradient cut. “It’s an accentuated layered gradient,” confirms Elisabete Casaca.

Very pronounced, it therefore allows you to play on the movements of the angles of the face. It is possible to tie part of the hair thanks to the length kept in the nape of the neck. Also, to lift facial features while giving the impression of a bun, for example.

“It’s a cut full of movement and a change from simple long hair,” says David Mallett, the famous hairdresser. Also you can choose to add bangs. A curtain fringe or even to flatten it all back.

The marked fringe!

Hair look: even if we love the curtain fringe, which in fact has many advantages after 50 years… For this season, we prefer the marked fringe.

Carried frank and straight, it plays on the angles of the face while giving personality. It’s a real bias that highlights the lips, nose and eyes. Talk to your hairdresser!

The graphic square

The square remains a safe bet hairstyle. But this spring, we are trying to leave our classic square.

So prefer a square above the shoulders to allow some structure. To break the natural side and give it more elegance, wear it smooth. If you prefer it slightly wavy, ask your hairdresser to play with asymmetry with your hair.

How often should you wash your hair?

Every day, twice a week, less…? Says Elisabete Casaca reveals the ideal frequency to wash your hair so that it looks as beautiful as possible.

Indeed, if for the expert, “the ideal frequency is 2 to 3 shampoos per week”, ie every 2 or 3 days… There is no absolute rule! In fact, the number of washes per week varies depending on the material of the hair. “Curly, dry hair can shampoo a week without being greasy, while oily scalps will get dirty more easily.”

Contrary to popular belief, “there are no contraindications to washing your hair every day”, also explains the expert.
