Comedian James Marsden, who played Scott Summers, aka Cyclops, in the very first trilogy X-Men, just revealed if he will be appearing in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It must be said that the confirmation of the presence of Charles Xavier in the feature film has opened the doors to all hypotheses.
Cyclops: a cult character
From 2000 to 2003, comedian James Marsden served as the face of Cyclops in the Marvel Universe. The actor, currently showing sonic 2has indeed embodied the famous Scott Summers in the first three films of the license X-Men. He thus carried this emblematic character with strength and conviction. Scott Summers is even without doubt the best role of his career. Afterwards, the character returned in X-Men: Origins Wolverine as Tim Pocock and in X-Men: Apocalypse and X-Men: Dark Phoenix played by Tye Sheridan. While we are only a few weeks away from the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, James Marsden has revealed if he will reprise the role of Cyclops in Sam Raimi’s film.
Return of Cyclops?
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be conducive to the craziest cameos. The feature film is indeed a pretext to visit the multiverse and thus cross paths with many characters. We already know that Patrick Stewart will appear as Charles Xavier, and that Benedict Cumberbatch will play several versions of Dr Strange. For the rest, it’s still a total blur. But it is rumored that many characters could come and join this beautiful little world. For example, many rumors claim that Tom Cruise will be the face of Iron Manthan Tobey Maguire will return as Spider-Man or that Mahershala Ali to make Blade debut.
In a recent interview with The Direct, James Marsden revealed if he was going to be part of the party or not. In full promotion of sonic 2the actor therefore stopped on the next Marvel blockbuster. And unfortunately for fans, apparently James Marsden won’t be in the movie…
No…I’m not into it. So I’m not going to see the movie [Rires]. But it would be super cool to see these two worlds collide.
Afterwards, some fans will say that the actor replays the card of the language of wood, like Andrew Garfield before him. The latter kept repeating that he would not be in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but as you know it was all an outright lie. Maybe James Marsden does the same.
