In 2018, when Netflix canceled Daredevil, fans of the character were disappointed to say the least. The latter hoped to be able to see Matt Murdock again and their hope materialized at the end of 2021 with his appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home. But it seems that Marvel is not content with this appearance for Daredevil, as it seems that the studio is working on a reboot of the series for Disney+.
A reboot in the boxes for Disney +
Indeed, this is in any case what reports Production Weekly which offers lists of projects that are in development or in production for professionals. In its latest issue, Production Weekly revealed thata series project appearing under the name of Daredevil Reboot was in the boxes.
The project would be destined for the Disney+ platform with Kevin Feige and Chris Gary as producers. In addition, the file offers a synopsis, but nothing exceptional since it is the same as that of the series which was broadcast on Netflix.
Link the series to the MCU or radical reboot?
For the time being, this is the only information that has been revealed and we do not know when production will begin or even with which actors. But we can already say that the Caïd embodied by Vincent D’Onofrio could be in the game after his participation in the series Hawkeye. For his part, the interpreter of Daredevil, Charlie Cox, had already said he was ready to return to embody the character without knowing how and for what project.
Let’s add that the Daredevil that appeared in No Way Home behaved like that of the Netflix series, one can imagine that this reboot project allows to link the series Daredevil to the MCU or on the contrary, with the multiverse, that personal stories and characters change drastically. It remains to be seen how this will turn out. All you have to do is wait patiently to find out. But it’s very good news for all Daredevil fans who have been waiting for his arrival in the MCU !
