Since the anime’s final season aired, the series The Seven Deadly Sins was particularly discreet. We knew that a film around the license was currently in preparation on the side of Netflix, but apart from that we had no news concerning the release of a possible sequel to the anime.
The series gets an anime sequel
It’s now official, the series The Seven Deadly Sins will have the right to a sequel. According to a report straight from Japan, an unpublished part of the manga should be adapted soon in anime. This new series will act as a direct sequel to the adventures of Meliodas and the other Seven Deadly Sins, narrated in the anime and in the manga. This sequel will tell a whole new story that will take its bases in the manga The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse. We will therefore have the opportunity to follow the story of a new hero, who will meet many new faces during his journey.
We should, however, see some familiar faces again, as suggested by the first visual unveiled when the series was announced. Above, we can see the appearance of Percival, the main character of this sequel, alongside Meliodas, the original hero of the series.

New hero, new adventures
At this time, we do not yet know all the details of this adaptation. We only know that the series is currently in production. No studio has yet been announced to lead this project.
For those who have not read the manga, know that Four Knights of the Apocalypse was released in January 2021 and currently comprises six volumes. This sequel to the main series was generally well received by fans. It is therefore not surprising to see it being adapted into an anime.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse tells the story of Perceval, a young and nice boy who goes on an adventure, 16 years after the end of the main series, in the hope of changing his destiny. One day, he is targeted for no apparent reason by a knight of King Arthur. Percival then learns that he is destined to become one of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse, warriors who, according to the prophecy, will plunge the world into chaos.
