the death of the joker?

The long-awaited death of the Joker seems imminent to say the least, and a first look at the latest issue of the comics The Joker hints that she turned a major Gotham hero to the dark side. Since it was announced that James Tynion IV’s Joker adaptation was to end with the character’s death, speculation is rife. Today the comics The Joker #14 suggests that the supervillain’s life has finally come to an end, but at the cost of the unthinkable for a major hero.

The previous issue of the comics The Joker ended with the eponymous character taking on Bane and his daughter, Vengeance, in Hooper County, Texas. The latter had just prevented him from being devoured by the Sampsons, a family of cannibals, but not to save him, but to be able to kill him herself. And as she was about to give him the final blow, she will be stopped by Bane, leaving the comics to end on a big cliffhangerespecially as former Gotham Police Commissioner Jim Gordon was caught up in the fray.

This first look at the comics The Joker #14, directed by James Tynion IV and Giuseppe Camuncoli and released today, opens in an interrogation room with Jim Gordon, skipping the showdown between the Joker, Bane, Vengeance and the former Gotham Commissioner. While fans learn the consequences of what happened thanks to a television news, reporting the arrest of the Sampsons following the discovery of their actions, we do not yet know what happened to the super-villain. Gordon is then confronted with a shocking question : “Did you kill the Joker?”.

Isabella Hallows: Don’t forget that I know the Joker is the one you’ve been following for months all over the world.

I also know that the Sampsons apprehended the Joker in Europe, brought him back to Texas, and planned to cook and eat him.

I know the Joker was there when you arrived on the scene. So I need you to tell me the truth, Jim.

Did you kill the Joker?

This turn of events may show a darker side to Gordon’s character that readers don’t know about.. Of course, all this could be a red herring, Gordon could have been framed for example, but it is difficult not to come to this conclusion. Commissioner Gordon has a dark side, and he is known to be determined to put an end to the Joker’s actions, having brought terror and chaos to his town and his life for a long time.

And if Gordon turns out to be the one behind the Joker’s eventual demise, it will raise questions about how he did it. Was he the one holding the murder weapon? Or rather the mastermind of the plan, orchestrating everything so that Bane and his daughter, or others, do it for him? Because the rest of the comics reveals that Gordon had to join forces with some of the worst criminals to achieve his ends..
