If you weren’t sure yet, Elon Musk confirms it: the billionaire is a man full of ambitions. He is a major player in the space and automotive sectors, but it is now an old project that he wants to bring back to the fore.
Elon Musk, always more ambitious
Decidedly, it would seem that it cannot pass more than two days without Elon Musk being talked about. The man is often noticed for his escapades, which are a hit on Twitter. And if he could also acquire the blue bird firm very soon, he is already thinking of a completely different project.
Whether we like him or not, whether we agree with his ways or not, there is no doubt that Elon Musk deeply wants to advance technology and improve our living conditions. For this, he became a specialist in the forms of transport what are electric cars (with Tesla) and spaceships (with SpaceX). But while waiting to leave our good old Earth for Mars, the billionaire intends to change the way we move through another company he founded: The Boring Company.
Created in 2016, it specializes in the construction of tunnels, but may well undertake a Hyperloop project soon.
The hyperloop, an old project that came out of the closet
The Hyperloop is a futuristic underground means of transport that can potentially exceed 1,100 km/h. For this, the capsules for transporting goods or people must move in low-pressure tubes, within which there would be induction motors generating a magnetic field capable of propelling them. While several companies are currently working on this concept, it was Elon Musk himself who originally mentioned it, in 2013. If he had apparently dropped the project, he now wants to resume it.
In the coming years, Boring Co will attempt to build a working Hyperloop.
From a known physics standpoint, this is the fastest possible way of getting from one city center to another for distances less than ~2000 miles. Starship is faster for longer journeys.

It remains to be seen whether this simple tweet will be followed by concrete actions in the coming years. Because if Elon Musk is ambitious and determined, we also know his tendency to get carried away a little from time to time.
