Series The Witcher is a particularly popular series on the Netflix platform, but season 2 of the series has sometimes disappointed fans of the universe (many tweets testify to this). An official synopsis for The Witcher season 3
In season 2 of The Witcher, Geralt brings Ciri to safety in the fortress of Kaer Morhen. It is here that Ciri begins her training under the watchful eye of Vesemir (Kim Bodnia), the oldest living wizard. After an attack on Kaer MorhenGeralt however believes that the old fortress is no longer safe.
The official Twitter account of The Witcher just shared the official synopsis for Season 3 of The Witcher, and it coincides with the idea we had of it. The coming season will indeed follow Geralt and Yennefer as they take Ciri to safety. Tasked with helping Ciri control her untapped magical abilities, Yennefer will take him to the fortress where she learned to develop her powers, Aretuza, an island academy for witches. As the Continent’s monarchs, mages, and beasts battle to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra underground, determined to protect her newly reunited family from those who threaten to destroy her. Charged with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to learn more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they find they’ve landed on a battleground of political corruption, dark magic, and betrayal. They must fight back, put it all on the line – or risk losing themselves forever.
So what can we expect from season 3?
In addition to the synopsis reveal, Netflix also released new behind-the-scenes footage from the set.with actors Henry Cavill, Freya Allan and Anya Chalotra on a snow-covered film set, dressed with the costumes of their characters :

Season 3 therefore promises to bring us a deeper understanding of the world of magic and of Ciri’s true power. The young princess wants nothing more than to live a normal life, but with nearly everyone she loved dead, Ciri must now embrace her destiny. This season could finally show that Ciri has gone from being a damsel in distress to being a powerful ally, that she is destined to become. At the moment though, no release date has been set for season 3 of The Witcher.
