If this third opus on the adventures of Wade Wilson should be R-rated, it was until then the only information revealed about the blockbuster. But after playing with fans’ patience for quite a while, it looks like Marvel Studios has finally decided to come back to us with some new reveals. According to the latest report from The Hollywood Reporter, Deadpool 3 would have finally found its director! Marvel Studios would be in talks with a filmmakerwith whom Ryan Reynolds, interpreter of the main hero, has already collaborated several times.

This March 11, the actor who is currently showing The Adam Project on Netflix, has confirmed the information with a more than explicit tweet. In legend, the sentence of Ryan Reynolds puts an end to all speculation: director Shawn Levy will be at the helm of Deadpool 3 ! “The third movie in my Shawn Levy trilogy will be a little more painful.” writes the actor. Shortly after, the filmmaker also confirmed the information on his Twitter account, which could not be more official!
With Deadpool 3Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy will therefore sign a new collaboration after Free Guy and Adam through time. The filmmaker has never made R-rated films, however, he has already proven his ability to process comedy and action in his previous projects. As a reminder, Shawn Levy is notably known for having directed RealSteel and several episodes of Stranger Things. For the time being, no information on the scenario or the release date of Deadpool 3 have been unveiled, but it is reassuring to know that the project is on the right track. Let’s hope, however, that the break planned by Ryan Reynolds will take place after the filming of the Marvel blockbuster…
